I LOVE Sharon Draper!!!

We have read two Sharon Draper books in class this year, and students seemed to really get into them. Let that be a starting point for AR! The third book in the Hazelwood High School trilogy is Darkness Before Dawn - FABULOUS!!! Another trilogy by Mrs. Draper includes The Battle of Jericho, November Blues, and a final book that should be on the book store shelves in January. The first to are fabulous, of course, so I'm really looking forward to the last.

For those of you who don't like long books (me included), Double Dutch is a great read. And my final Draper recommendation is Romiette and Julio - a new take on Shakespeare's classic.
